The two combined forces and put on not one but TWO sold out shows in Burlington, VT paying homage to the Purple One and his music. After those two shows and a few other collaborations between the prince-obsessed musicians involved, it was decided that some original music needed to be created. They knew it was going to be damn good so they were already talking about a record, touring, playing Madison Square Garden, meeting the president...and now its finally come to fruition. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Over the past few months with some critically acclaimed shows in between, the boys in Motor City have been honing their sound and crafting some songs that at times sound like Prince, Talking Heads and Jamiroquai while also gaining influences from the sounds of the Motor City itself, whether that be Parliament Funkadelic, Detroit techno, the Stooges or the White Stripes. After melding all of these influences together while keeping their own sound intact, Craig Mitchell &amp;amp; Motor City have embarked on recording their debut 6-song EP at The Tank Recording Studio.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Following an incredibly fruitful weekend of tracking, the 7-piece band came back and performed a live set on “Exposure In The Tank”.
